The Project Board

The Project Board (also called Project Steering Committee) consists of a representative of the Ministry of Mining and Energy, a representative of UNDP and a representative of Administration for Joint Services of the Republic Bodies (UZZPRO).

The Project Board is responsible for taking corrective action as needed to ensure the project achieves the desired results. The Project Board makes decisions, conclusions and recommendations by majority vote, provided that at least one UNDP representative of UNDP and one MME representative agree with the Decision.

The project’s board makes decisions to ensure developmental management and the achievement of project goals, optimal use of financial resources, fairness, integrity, transparency, and international competitiveness, considering the requirements set forth in the project documents. In case a decision cannot be reached within the Board, the permanent representative of UNDP mediates in finding an acceptable solution, and if one cannot be found, they make the final decision to ensure that the implementation of the project is not unnecessarily delayed.
