Ministry of Mining and Energy
The Ministry of Mining and Energy of the Republic of Serbia is a state administration body that performs tasks related to mining and energy, i.e. deals with strategy, policy and planning of their development, sustainable and rational exploitation and use of resources, development, security, inspection supervision and other tasks specified by law. The work of the Ministry of Mining and Energy is organized through the operation of 6 sectors:
- Sector for Electric Power System
- Sector for Renewable Resources
- Sector for Energy Efficiency and Climate Change
- Sector for Oil and Gas
- Sector for Geology and Mining and
- Sector for International Cooperation and European Integration
Within the scope of the work of the Sector for Renewable Energy Sources and the Sector for Energy Efficiency and Climate Change, the Ministry of Mining and Energy performs state administration tasks with strategy, policy, rational use of energy and energy efficiency; use of renewable energy sources; environmental protection and climate change in the field of energy.
The Ministry of Mining and Energy is the Implementing Partner in the implementation of the project “Enhancing the Energy Management System to Scale up Energy Efficiency Investments in Public Buildings in Serbia”.
